Cal Poly Humboldt’s Cannabis Studies Program invites campus and community members to attend a special symposium on Cannabis and Environmental Stewardship to explore existing and potential policy options for incentivizing regenerative cannabis agriculture and best practices for licensed cannabis production beyond the structure of existing rules and regulations. We bring together policymakers, nonprofits, cultivators, and academics to map out the landscape of bottom-up approaches to environmental stewardship and explore opportunities to support the successful implementation of Proposition 64 while also upholding the environmental provisions.
This event will take place on Friday, April 5th in the Native Forum on campus from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm; and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in BSS 166, a nearby lecture hall. This event is free and open to all.
The 2024 Cannabis and Environmental Stewardship Symposium is funded through the Land-Sea Connection Program of Resources Legacy Fund, made possible by the Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment.
